Individual Sessions

Since our therapists are independent, fees for individual sessions vary per clinician. Please contact us to get more information on the cost of individual sessions and whether a clinician may accept your insurance through their own LLC.

 
 

DBT Skills Groups

DBT skills groups are billed under Southwest Colorado DBT and they include two clinicians present for each two-hour group. We are able to accept Colorado Medicaid for skills groups. We do not accept private insurance for skills groups (see our statement on this below).

DBT skills group fees: $50.00 per group, clients are responsible for paying for missed groups

There is an additional $40.00 fee at the first in-person skills group to cover your binder and handouts/worksheets that are given out each week.

 
 

*Southwest Colorado DBT made the decision to accept Medicaid but not private insurance plans. This decision was based on our clinicians wanting to spend our time and resources with our clients, and pursuing further education and training. Our experience with private insurance companies is that they do not work in the best interest of your mental healthcare. The time required to determine copays, deductibles, gather requested medical records, sit on hold to speak to a representative only to get incorrect information, and low reimbursement rates make it unrealistic for a practice that is striving to create a model of care based on our values. We would rather spend our time and energy with you.
